My Old 8500/120........cd rom issues....????

The cd rom reads fine, but recently i cant boot from cds....weird.

i can read the cd i put in, but cant boot from it???? It just spins around forever. Is it supposed to sound like its gonna EXPLODE!!!!!!??.......LOL

This i guess just happend. Cuz it workd when i reformatted everything.

anyone???
 
What OS is on the bootable CD? Did you try using the Startup Panel? Does the CD have a scratch or fingerprints on it?
 
I found out its the Nortons cd i have. Its a burned copy of Systemworks 2.0.

I doesnt look scratched, but whatever.....I'll re-burn it, and see what happens....
