n00b questions about mysql on Tiger

MySQL is or is NOT installed in Tiger?

if it is already on board, how do I access it? what do I need to do to start creating my own DBs, set passwords, etc, etc, etc?

this has gotta be the noobiest question, sorry.

Hopefully someone can help - I'm trying to do some Ruby on Rails stuff and need mysql at this point...

if I need to install it and go from there, so be it, but I'd like to go with whatever may already be there if possible.

I't not installed in 10.4 Client.

http://dev.mysql.com/ will give you everything you need.

Or you can compile it yourself using the instuctions I've posted.

It's also nice to use phpMyAdmin to manage your databases via your web browser.
