NEdit on OS X

Has anyone been able to use the graphical editor NEdit on OS X? I've seen a brief mention of NEdit & Mac OS X on their home page at http://nedit.org

nedit will run...I got xtools and ran nedit off of a server, it should work the same way if you have nedit installed locally, just get xtools

I'm not a huge bsd guy, so my question is which version of nedit do I grab from nedit.org?

there were a couple of bsd versions.
