Need a powered USB hub - Recommendations?

My Belkin 7 port USB hub has died (Model - F5U237). Power is getting through but it isn't recognised by the Mac Mini. It has also been running very hot recently.

I need a new one. Any recommendations for a powered hub please?

Apple UK are only selling one hub - an unpowered Belkin hub that matches the Mac Mini. If they did a powered version of that, I would go for it as I have an Intel Mac Mini, but I need power...

My Belkin 4-port (F5U101) has been running fine for many years. Try a new Belkin--they're cheap enough.

Hooray, one of my favorite topics. To get straight to the nub, go Targus or Cyberpower, both reputable, but not the cheapest. See here: http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/other-hardware-peripherals/127812-7-port-hub-one.html, and here: http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/other-hardware-peripherals/129300-needed-7-port-usb-splitter.html.

http://www.superwarehouse.com has stacks of them, several different brands, good prices.

One thing about the Targus I bought, I think there is sound interference from its internal circuit. I've ceased using its audio pass-through unless really necessary.

Thanks for the info. :)

I can't find the Targus or Cyberpower readily in the UK. So it looks like the Belkin again. The local Apple Store have a powered one in stock, unlike the nline Apple Store UK.

Probably pick one up on the way to work in the morning.
