Need Help Getting Shortcut to Open in Safari

I just got a gmail account and, for convenience, I made a shortcut (a .webloc) to the login page in my dock. The trouble is, my default browser is OmniWeb, and gmail is not compatible with it. I want the shortcut to open in Safari, even though OmniWeb is the default browser. Does anyone know how to write an AppleScript that will do this, or if there's another, easier way that I'm overlooking?

Thanks.

why not just make gmail your home page in safari (could choose to have it open when you make a new page or when you hit the home button)

i think that would be the easiest way. and since you use Omni it really shouldn't be a problem changing the home page in your secondary browser... right?

and in my opinion, safari isn't the best browser to view gmail in.... i tend to have a 50% chance of hangs when it loads

any of the mozilla (firefox camino etc.) tend to work a lot better

Can't you do a Get info on that .webloc file to have it Open With Safari instead of the default (OmniWeb)?

Yep... That's exactly the kind of solution I was looking for. I can't believe I forgot about that. Thanks so much.
