need help : IMAP server in OS X

Anyone here recommend a mail server and mta that cooperate as well as do IMAP? I was hoping to use QMail but I can't get it to cooperate with uw-imapd. QMail uses MailDir and uw-imapd uses mbox.

im using a qmail+ldap setup for the
mta and a courier-imap (also auth.
via ldap) on the client side. courier
installation should be straight forward.

(there is also the cyrus-imap server
that also does Maildir, but never tried

ummm...I just installed qmail onto Jaguar and I have no idea of how to set it up to use as a mail server. I installed webmin to configure qmail.

is there a simple tutorial of how to set up qmail to sent and receive emails.
