Need help w/ Macbook!!!!!!!

I have had my Macbook for almost a year now and recently it has been not responding when I click for a while after it starts up.

I don't know whats wrong with it. I can move the mouse around and click but it takes a while for anthing to respond and I can only open things if I hold the clicker down on it for a long time. then after I open it, the application still does not always respond to my clicks and is slow for a while.

After I have been doing my computer for a while it gets more normal but every once in a wile, it takes longer to respond when I click on things.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it and what I could do to fix it?

How much memory do you have? How full is your hard drive? Have you run "Activity Monitor" (search "activ" in Spotlight or /Applications/Utilities) and clicked the "CPU" column tab to look for CPU hogs?

Also, what operating system version do you have (Click the blue Apple menu, then click "About this Mac")?
