Need insulating goop

I need to find out where to get the heat transferring goop that you put on the contacts for the imac 1.0 to solve the overheating problem. My local Mac User Group/Repair guy won't tell me because he wants to charge me $400 bucks to put it on for me.
I got no answers on my monitor conversion question. I have an idea that the constant Kernel Panics are caused by a previous owner taking it apart and not gooping it up properly. Maybe I can salvage it that way.

I use Arctic Silver when building PCs, and it should work just fine on the iMac as well, as long as it's a standard heatsink/fan on top of the processor.

You can find it pretty much anywhere on the internet, from places like http://www.tigerdirect.com or http://www.newegg.com.
