I work for a college that likes to have information on the desktop such as asset tag and serial number. We use bginfo to do this on the pc side of things and I am sure geektools can give me a similar effect on the mac side. However I cant seem to find a way to pull the asset tag number which is set in the com.apple.remotedesktop.plist as the text1 field. Is there a way to pull info from this to display on geektools? your help is greatly appreciated.
