... i've noticed that disk images often contain files that are larger than the image... for example, when you d/l omniweb, the image is only 4.1 mb or something, but the app is 14mb large ...
how do i achieve this sort of thing? it would be ideal for backups onto cd ...
Disk Copy uses a compression to turn the images smaller. If you want to use compression on one of your diskimages you have to either use the terminal (check the tutorials at: www.macosx.org) or use a graphical application like DMG Maker(read more at: http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=10622&db=mac )
