Need to Optimize Mac

I'm going to need to use my Demo Account to show off Mac, but right now it is lagging very badly. Clicking on things causes beachballs. Any program to optimize the Mac (besides Mac Janitor)?

What do you mean by "my Demo Account"? I never heard of such a thing. In the meantime, you can just create another account in the hopes that you munged your regular account. The new account should work fine if your OS has not been munged.

Oh, sorry for confusion. It's just called "Demo Account". It has Admin privlages (spelling?). I just use it to show people Mac. .

Well if you haven't yet, check your login items for that account. try another account to see if it's an account issue or a computer issue. have a look in Activity Viewer or top (from the terminal) to see what's chewing up your memory and CPU cycles.

Ah, iTunesHelper was loading at login. Turned that off and now it's runinng a lot better .
