NETGEAR Router Blocking "Loopback"?

I just purchased a Netgear Wireless Router (WNR2000) to use in my home as a replacement to a Belkin G-class router (which had been dropping connections). After getting it working and copying all my port-forwarding info (such as HTTP, Music Streaming, etc) I notice that I cannot access my served webpage from within the LAN. As it turns out, Netgear routers don't do something called 'NAT loopback' basically meaning that I can't access the forwarded services on my own LAN. This it pretty irritating, and i'm almost ready to ditch the new router. I'm wondering if there are any software solutions to this problem, such as an "internal DNS". I could run such a thing on an older computer, running MacOSX 10.4.11. Any Suggestions?
