NetInfoManager problem

I had a problem with NetInfoManager after I opened it
looked around and then closed it no changes made.

The permissions for the Applications folser were changed and Classic would not start. I got an error message that said

You are attemting to start Classic without superuser (root) privileges. Plese ensure that TruBluEnvironment
is setuid and root permissions are set or reinstall Classic.

I logged in as root and fixed the Applications folder.

I could not find TruBlue* in the GUI cd to /Applications/Classic.app resources directory located there. TruBlue*
was present though I could not see anything wrong. I deleted Classic.app and reinstalled OS X which just reinstalled Classic. The system is fine now. Cn any one explain this?
