Netscape 6.x and 7.x under OSX 10.x.x

I have an iBook 500mhz firewire, just newly installed 10.2.3, and all is nice and clean, but everytime I try to install netscape 6.2 or later I can not use it, shows the splash screen and then goes away, any help will be really good.
 
Can't help you but you're not alone. Back in 10.2.1 or so days I could never install/run Netscape 6 either. It just would never finish launching.

I'm not sure if a later version of 6 or X or 7 fixed it. I just know one day all of a sudden I tried a new version and it worked.

You don't have mozilla running do you? it hear they might have issues running together. Maybe you need to delete the prefs? Just ideas

What about classic. I use netscape every now and then and I DONT have classic started. Wasn't on when i installed, wasn't on when i started it. Worked fine.
