Netscape 7.01 problem

I just upgraded to Netscape 7.01.

Whenever I type in a url and hit enter or return it does not submit the request.

It looks like it doesn't see it as being triggered.

I can get to page by typing something in the url space and hitting search but just typing something in and pressing enter doesn't work.

This function worked fine before I upgraded, in version 7.0.

Anybody else having this problem.

hmm...I'm on X.2.2 as well and I have the same version of Netscape (7.01). I've tried it a few times and pressing return or enter both work...

I looked in the prefs and I didn't see any settings that could be causing your problems. Try throwing away your prefs or reinstalling the program.

Sorry, but that's all I can think of...I hope you get it working again.
 
I will try that, when I installed it I just had netscape overwrite the old application so that might have done something.
 
Oh yes, that almost certainly did something.
All Mozilla based browsers specificly say in the Read Me file, 'Do Not Install Over an Existing Installation'. This is why it is usually a good idea to read the Read Me files! :)
