Network Access & Pc Workgroups



I have 2 problems.

Here's my background:
I have a powerbook g4 w/ 10.4.1 & a PC w/ winXP on the same 802.11G linksys wireless network.

1) On my powerbook, when I use the GO file menu and select "Network": the window literally blinks on the screen and then it's gone. If I try to select it again I get nothin.

Second problem...

2) when i use a different window to select the network, I don't see the workgroup from my PC. It takes sometimes as long as 10 minutes to see my PC workgroup. Is there a better way to do this?
