network file transfer problems!!!!

I am running samba on both my g4 and g3 running max 10.2. When i connect to my g4 on my g3 and mount the hard drive i want and copy over a file. one: either the transfer does not finish or two: the transfer finishes but then the file will not work or it becomes corrupted. does anyone have any idea on to what my problem my be? no matter what drive i pick to copy any file the file will not run, finish transfering or will get corrupted. please help!
 
Can someone help. I cant copy a file as it does not copy fully and stopes saying it cant copy the files, or it copies the files all the way and then that file will not work. i only have this problem if i do this over samba. can somoene please help me out.
