V Vulcan Registered Sep 5, 2001 #2 First thing I'd do is restart from the CD and choose Disk Utilities and run Disk First Aid. Next created a new user with a different short user name. This will give you a clean set of user preferences. Try opening your network preferences. If it opens, they your network prefs for your original user were corrupt. Hope this helps, Vulcan
