I thought networking 10.1 with windows 2000 was supposed to be easy and built in! I cant for the life of me get it to work I have searched the forum and found nothing that works.
As is I have my 2000 box set up with internet shareing and that works fine I can set my IP on 10.1 to dynamic or static and both work fine. how are you suppose to specify a work group on 10.1 I should just be able to open up the local network and see the pc but it isnt there. and manually entering the IP with smb:// doesnt work and entering it in normal doesnt work. i have even tried enterin the ip specifying the shared folder.
