Networking Mac OS X 10.4.3 client with NetApp FAS270

Hello,

I am looking for a reliable way to connect a Mac OS X 10.4.3 client with NetApp FAS270 from Network Appliance.

Configuring a NetApp FAS270 to work whitout a flaw with Mac OS X seems to be a bit tricky. If you have receipe to share it would be welcome.

We find that SMB works perfectly, the only issue is with Spotlight taking forever to search. I have not found a solution to this yet.

Your options are few as Netapp says right on the website that they do not now nor are they likely to support native Mac OS file system since SMB and CIFS works well...

Just my 2 cents..
