new ATI drivers - for all RADEON cards (incl. OEM/Apple)

The comments on version tracker don't look too good. Maybe you're better off just waiting.

I found out that mostly complaining ppl tend to give a mark and a comment on versiontracker. So I decided to ask in our forum, if someone did it as well.
Don't know why, but it feels very tempting to me. I was used to download the most recent drivers during my pc time. I never updated any video drivers explicitly on my mac so it's really shouting for me now.. ;)

I wouldn't exactly call these drivers, since the only thing it installs is:
* ATI Displays version 4.4.1
* Displays.prefPane
* ATITVOut.kext

The only "driver" in there is the "ATITVOut.kext" and that driver only affects the TV-out capabilities of certain Radeon cards.

I've installed them and everything seems just fine. Unless you specifically have a need for adaptive de-interlacing or TV-out controls or tweaking the graphics settings due to problems, I would skip this one and let Apple's drivers do their job.

wow, that might solve the problem of my brother who can't plug his 12'' powerbook to the tv anymore (I had a thread on that). Maybe these drivers will fix it again.

The 12" powerbook uses an nVidia video card. I remember the problem your brother had. Don't have the solution though...

You are right Viro. It's a Geforce chip in my brothers powerbook. But I hope the 10.3.6 update will fix it since there was a line of updated graphic card drivers for ati and nvidia. Let's see..
Thanks
