New battery?

I've recently received my replacement battery from the (rather untrustworthy) local Apple dealer. I've a feeling that the battery is not new. Doesn't keep its charge as long as the previous one. I'm going to monitor this though. Is there any other way of telling whether its a new battery? The serial starts with W7518
 
Don't know, but since my usage hasn't changed, I'll simply check the amount of time it takes to drain the battery.
