New Flash plugin = total lock up

Do NOT use the new Flash plugin which came with the Explorer update. It causes OS X to lock up (no cursor movement, can't force reboot from keyboard, sound on permanent loop). Only way to continue is to hit the reset button on the face plate or unplug the power cord.

Just viewing the flash movie on this page will lock you up. I've had another person confirm this so it's not an isolated incident:

OS X 10.0.3

Flash 5.0 r56

Explorer 5.1.1

I've run into this as well.
Has anyone at Apple, MS or Macromedia
acknowledged this (really nasty) bug?

Not to my knowledge.

Perhaps Macromedia released it to force Apple to fix a bug in the OS, and neither want to comment.

i made this site in OS9: www.1454.net

this will lock up your OSX box as well... i can't figure this out.

how can a web browser plug-in get low enough system access in OSX to crash the whole deal?

Has anyone confirmed that this still happens in 10.0.4? (I'd try it, but I'm a fraidy cat...)

Okay, off to the OS X feedback page...
I suggest we all file bugs against
this -- a simple web page should not have the
ability to lock up the most advanced
OS on the planet, n'est ce pas?
