New iMac question's

The new iMac has a 17" widescreen monitor, but how does it compare to the 17" studio display from Apple? I'm thinking about the height of the monitor, since this is what I'm looking for, not really the width. Is there anywhere I can see a picture of the screen sizes being compared?

the 17" widescreen will show a few less pixels at 1440x900 than the 17" studio display. it is considerably less tall than the 17" studio from what i can see.

do you know how much shorter it is? Is it about the same height as the 15"?

With a little bit of basic arithmetic, I figured that the 15 inch iMac's screen is 11.33 x 9.81 inches and the new iMac's screen is 13.33 x 10.54 inches.

edit to add

The Studio display is 12.67 x 11.33 inches.

I'm pretty sure that those numbers are right, but you might want to check them yourself.
