new iTunes already has a Panther feature

have you noticed that when you go to the Preferences in iTunes, you already see a new feature of Panther?

I mean the selection of the pane where you're at. I think this wasn't already in iTunes 4.0.1..

I thought that Panther had this built in its system, so all apps have it. But it seems that Jaguar apps also can have it. Cool..
 
Guess it's just the 'current way' of Apple. ;-) Strange to look at this on 'old' Aqua.
 
Yet another reason itunes should be dipped in hot Cocoa!
Apple had to add this stuff to iTunes 4.1, because they probably won't release another update before panther, and iTunes uses NO native widgets, they're all contained within the app package itself.
Makes me wonder how much better itunes would run (less beachball, faster load times), if it was a standard cocoa/aqua app...
 
Yeah, that's new with 4.1. I noticed it, too. Subtle, but important. You'd think Apple, in all it's neurotic-painstaking-detail-ness, would have done that sooner.
