New Mac user

Hey all I am a new Mac user and I need a bit of help, I recently bought a second hand Poer Mac G4 400mhz I made the mistake last night of setting up a multiple user account and now I cannot access anything. The original owner of the Mac has the main account and now I am stuck. It was fine until I set up to use mulitple accounts. Help !!!!! anyone I didnt even get the log on screen until I set up a second account help

You can boot from the Installation CD 1 by holding down the 'c' key at boot-time. Somewhere in there you have a menu for resetting the Administrator password.

Bad news guys I got the Mac off EBay and I have no CD's something tells me I am dead in the water. What will happen if I buy a new OS and try to install it ?

you can go by OSX 10.2 and do what fryke told ya, you'll be fine

But will this work even if I do not have rights to add new software as a second user.

yup!, all you gotta do is either a) reset the password and just do an upgrade install or b) do a clean install
