I'm running OSX 10.4.11 on both a MacBook Intel duo and on a PowerMac G4. I bought a Samsung SCX4600 which has just been replaced by Samsung.
The first would print ok for single copies but was pitifully slow when asked for several copies even though it claims 20ppm and mac compatable. The replacement wont print at all, giving the message that "the printer is not responding". In both cases the scanner and photocopy functions work fine. I have loaded and reloaded the up to date driver and (following a resonse to an old similar query found on the apple.com support forum) run Printer Setup Repair 5.1.2 from MacFixit but with no benefit.
Before I spend another 30mins listening to musac while trying to get back to Samsung tec support, probably to try to get my money back:
1 Are there any suggestions out there please? Can I hope for a 3rd printer to be any better?
2 If not, any recommendations for an inexpensive b&w laser print/copy/scan machine which WILL work?
