New to Mac, having trouble emailing movies.

What is the best way to email avi files. They are like 1 to 2 minute clips usually. (About 100 MB) Should I be trying to convert the files into something smaller? HELP

I'd burn a CD or DVD and post it. Snail mail still does have a role,

Why are 1-2 minute clips 100 MB? Yeah: Get them smaller. If you convert them to MPEG-4 with QuickTime, for example, they should get much smaller. You shouldn't mail stuff around that's bigger than 10 MB. Actually, shouldn't even go higher than 5 MB. I'd find some webspace, put the files there and send the _links_ via E-Mail.

Fryke has it right. I know my ISP kicks back any attachment
greater than 5mb. Check the limits of yours.

But be careful to whom you mail MP4s. I sent one to a clueless
peecee type, and she couldn't open the file and wouldn't/couldn't
cope with getting the wintel version of QuickTime.

MPEG-4 can be played by VLC and many other media players, too...
