I run a Mac G4 recently modified with a Newer Technology Maxpower 2.0 Ghz single processor replacing the stock G4 933. 3 x 512 mhz Ram pc133-333. System: Leopard 10.5.1.
Just installed a Nvidia 6800 GT, nodified for G4 installation. On startup, everything powers up nicely, apple logo and spinning thingy while loading. About the time the login screen should appear it freezes. Could this be a conflict between the card and the Newertech firmware?
I have not tried reverting back to the old processor, yet.
I appreciate any help or advice.
