well yeah, its' garbage...but it plays movies encoded in wmp9 That's the only difference, heh.

When playing the sample file the window jumps to a size where the lower corners become invisible. So I can't resize it (15" TFT). Also, clicking the red button ('close window') actually quits the application. Windowesque. Okay, System Preferences has the same behaviour but it makes sense there.

It does? It didn't in Jaguar.

The quit-on-close-box behavior is nothing new. It is/was in WMP 7 and is in Real Whatever, and a handful of other programs.

BTW, can't you just grab the "brushed steel" and drag the resize box into visibility?

No, I can not. The window is just way too long. No chance of resizing it.

Well, you can drag a brushed metal window anywhere you see the metal, like along the sides and bottom as well as the top of the window, if it helps...
