New Xservers are made in China?

I am surprised to learn that all new Xservers are made in China. Why in China? What is going on?

Assembled in China, but the components are probably made in other countries. China is cheap.. Apple has to compete. It'd be better if they weren't made there, but this is the global economy.

I think most Macs are assembled in China, and have been for some time. I know my Mac Mini shipped from China when I ordered it from Apple.

Almost everything from Apple is assembled overseas, didn't you see the videos of the people working 16-20 hours a day building ipods?

My replacement MBP (screen line developed) is coming from Shanghai, though the original come from Holland oddly.

it wasn't made in holland, holland is the last european stop-off to britain and over seas.
