I know I'm new here and all, but is there something going on? It looks like the new version of the site software is having some problems.

Maybe I'm missing somethin'.
 
Yeah, I suppose you could say we are having some 'technical' difficulties. Hopefully things will back to .. ahem .. 'normal' later today.

no problem about he pm wedge. that's part of what i am here for.

just to let everyone know what is going on - you are seeing delays because each post is being reviewed by a moderator before being published. the best way to see this go away is for everyone to simply start following site policy. Once a good track record with abiding by the rules seems like it is taking place, then hopefully we can go back to normal.

no, it is for the entire site. see admin's announcement in the site news forum.
 
How do I get an icon? And why do people with congrat post to them have red "gone" icons? Do you get those when you get 1000 post? Do you have to have one of those if you get 1000 post? I notice you don't have one Ed, it that because your a moderator?

I'll check in later to see if someone has answered. I understand it takes time now. It didn't seem like this last week when I was looking for tech answers.

People have those red "gone" icons because they have left this site out of protest for recent actions and have done that to signify it.

I came back just to check up on the status of some remaining members... alot have changed forums... see my signature for links, but most have checked over to the macfora.com one.

If you want an icon, go to usercp, click Edit Options, go to the bottom of the page and click "Change Avatar"

Can someone with photoshop or something help me make a Star Wars avatar-icon image? I'm like the only person without one.
