Newbie Volunteer question

I receive a message with some helpful advice suggesting that I not have my email address available to guests. This certainly sounds like good advice. My benefactor directs me to go to CP > Private messaging.
That is where the trouble begins.
There are precisely three (3) check boxes there.
I fail to comprehend which configuration here will prevent guests from accessing my email address.

Any advice, on this, and on any other, volunteer topic, will be much appreciated.

The private messaging is a part of the forum. This is where others can send a private message to you via the web. You have to log in to get your messages. You can be notified by email that you have a private message.

The setting you need to go to prevent emails from guests is just above the private messages under Receive emails. You want to get emails from the Administration, but not other members so uncheck the second box there.
