I started looking in the forum but have not found this.

Just a little direction.

I just bought a new imac...LOVE IT

I am wanting to put xp on it but all I have is XP sp 1.
is there anything I can do to get this to work. Without purchasing xp sp2

(I want to put this on because there are some features on OFFICE that mac office 2008 just does not have. I also can not get my cannon powershot sd600 to put pictures taken onto my mac ??)

do you recommend parallels or bootcamp

You'll want to take your XP disk, download SP2, and "slipstream" them together into one new DVD (CD?). Here are instructions: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

You can Google "slipstream sp2 xp" for other guides if that one doesn't suit you.

Edit to add: If you no longer have access to an XP machine, you may be able to do the slipstreaming on a Mac. Does anyone know?
