Newton .pkg files...

I'm having trouble installing .pkg files on my newton. In the past, I remember I could either drag and drop these files to the connection window, or select install pkg and then select the pkg I wanted. But now none of the pkg files I've downloaded off the internet are working. They have generic icons (non-newton) and don't work. I tried changing file type via resedit to HRSB/GEOL (I think, I may have forgotten since changing) but that didn't help. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Or is is possible the files I've downloaded have the wrong file type? What should they be?

those arent the creator/type codes for a newton package

I believe that the codes are pkg/NTP1 (not sure on the capitalization of pck, but I can look around).

I was linked to a package converter that solved my problem like this. I could only get it to run in OS9 (not classic) but I guess it's a small price to pay. E-maiul me and I'll send it along
