No appletalk in classic

Cannot communicate with laserjet printer over appletalk as I am unable to make appletalk active in classic environment. Kindly advise if anybody has a solution. Additionally I am unable to access other trays using laserjet 5m while in OSX environment. Have reinstalled printer software to no avail. Kindly adise.

Until Apple implements PPDs in the OS X driver, you will not have access to the specific features of your PostScript printer (such as alternate trays, specific fonts, toner management...)

Hopefully the PPD management component will appear in an interim update, before OS X final...

As for AppleTalk, I do not have info on this. Anyone else ?
