I'm a filmmaker who works on final cut pro (5.1.4) on a macbook pro (os 10.5.6). I make a lot of videos that I post to the internet after compressing with quicktime pro.
All of a sudden, recently, when I compress quicktimes using the same settings I've been using for a long time, my exported quicktimes are being created without audio.
Here are my normal settings:
video: h.264 medium 480 x 360 or 320 x 240
audio: AAC 48khz stereo
Video plays back fine. But there doesn't seem to be any audio. File info reports that the audio is AAC but there's no sound.
I feel like I both brought in some codecs recently to playback some videos I was sent and I also upgraded to the latest quicktime. It seems that my audio problem started around then.
My question: How can I get the audio back? What do I need? What am I doing wrong? Please help me.
Thanks
Casimir
