No Internet

I have been using Panther with my Imac G5 and an ethernet connection.

I installed Tiger and since then there is no way to get connected. SBC says it is Apples's problem and they say it is SBC.

I have gone to system preference and manually filled in DHCP etc. A pop up appears that says "You are not connected to the internet". I hve also tried the disagnostic format that then says it cannot help me. My question is this a problem with the machine or Tiger ?

Thank you

I would inform SBC that YES, it is their problem - you are their customer and the service you pay them for is not working.

This is an issue the SBC tech support needs to help you troubleshoot.

They make a big deal about having great customer service, so make them back up the boast.

Your SBC account is a DSL account? You might need to add an account name and password to your router or connect via PPoPE. But the answer is within SBC.

What have you tried? Can you be more specific? What is your setup like? Have you tried using another computer to connect?
