no mac disks

hi i have an old blue i mac g3 and i want to start using it again. i turned it on and it has the blinking folder/? mark when i start it up and i dont have the disks for it. is there any place that i can get them so i can start using my mac again? or somewhere i can dowload them?

You'd first need to know exactly what OS the machine originally could run and what the maximum OS is it can run. Can you identify the machine better? There were bondi blue iMacs running at 233 MHz and later machines in blueberry and the last round iMacs in indigo. They have different OS capabilities. The 400+ MHz iMacs can run 10.4.11. Lower spec models can go to 10.3.9.

You'd either need the original installation disc(s) that came with the computer or a retail version of Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4. Discs that came with different computers won't work.
