No room on a DVD for recording?

Hello

I have an Apple desktop G5 dual 2 and a superdrive. I do not understand why the iMovie 3 cannot save 9 GB on a 4 GB DVD because of no room on the DVD. I do know the difference sizes. What should I do next?

What's not to understand? You have a blivit (ten pounds of "used food"
in a five-pound bag). Try a DVD+R DL disc.

Or use another app (Toast) that can compress the file to fit on an SL.
 
You can also use free software like ffmpegx to compress the video first so it will fit on your DVD, though it makes it a two-step process
