I'm trying to use my non-Apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iMac. When I first turn the computer on after having previously successfully paired it with my iMac, it asks me to hit the keys to the right of SHIFT and left of SHIFT, then it recognizes the keyboard.
It is a slight nuisance that I must do this every time I turn on the computer. The huge inconvenience comes when I haven't hit a key on the keyboard for several minutes and it again asks me to hit the keys left and right of SHIFT.
Is there any way to have the iMac permanently remember my keyboard or just disable this check? The defaults it chooses for me are correct so I know the keyboard will work correctly even without the annoying check.
