I got a Pioneer A05 DVD burner. I presume it is essentially just the next generation SuperDrive, since the SuperDrive models are the A03 and A04 (I think).
Anyway, I tried to run the Apple SuperDrive firmware updater, but it said it was not compatible with my Mac (DP 867).
The A05 free DVD-R media has a sticker on it warning about possibly freezing certain drives, so I really don't want to risk that.
Does anyone know if I need to worry about freezes on the A05 and/or if I can force install the firmware update or if I should even bother?
Thanks!
