Nortel VPN, Metaframe and Mac

I currently access work via VPC 6, Nortel VPN and Metaframe clients.
Novel NAL is accessed after going through all the hoops.
Outlook (soon to be GroupWise) and a terminal app into an LIS
system are the only apps I access. Painfully slow. Would like to
avoid using VPC altogether. Anyway of doing this on the Mac
side (10.3.5) without the company (not Mac friendly) being any the wiser?

The Nortel VPN client may be a problem (not free). Anyway to use X's built-in VPN?

If possible, will need setup info for all clients.

TIA

Hi,

I think it may not be possible to get away with not using the Nortel provided client.
The reason being is:
- That the Nortel VPN gateway and the client do some negotiation work to work out if NAT/PAT can and should be used.
- The Nortel VPN gateway tried to identify what client is being used and as you can restrict at the gateway what types and versions of client you are allowed to use the admins may have this setup to stop you.

Sorry its not good noews but at least your not wasting your time trying stuff that isn't likely to work.

I may be able to use NetLock single user ($95). My company uses WEBICA for the Metaframe component. What is that? Would the std Citrix Metaframe application for MacOS X work? Different setup?

TIA
