not logging in

hello,

today I updated several programmes on my mac. it then asked me to restart which tried. since then it switches on but while its uploading it stops at 'Login window starting' and nothing else happens. it doesnt get to the log in window and the passport.

i m desperate for an answer,

What version of MOSX are you running? Also, please specify anything special about your setup. Have you modded anything? What programs did you update? What have you done to resolve the issue?
