If you have a problem, clearly state it. If you have a software problem, name the software title, its version number, the name of your OS, and its version number. Also give the model of your computer, it amount of RAM, and hard drive capacity and amount of free space.
If you have a hardware problem, give the model computer, your peripheral manufacturer and model number. Also give the version number of the relevant driver.
If you have a network problem, describe your network. I recommend starting at the plug in the wall and come out to each workstation on the network.
