`nslookup` deprecated?

I issued an nslookup a while ago to check on my no-ip.com domain and there was this line: Note: nslookup is deprecated and may be removed from future releases. Consider using the `dig' or `host' programs instead..

What's the deal with that? The whole reason I use nslookup instead of dig is because the output is small, dig returns a tonne of stuff I don't want to know about.

so use host. the output is even smaller than nslookup.
