If you understand about the use of objects in programming then you should have any trouble dealing with Obj-C. You just need to get use to a different syntax.
The only book that ever made sense to me about objects (I learnt obj-c from knowing nothing about programming) was Steve Kochan's book 'Programming In Objective-C'. I highly recommend that you get a copy.
