Oddness when opening terminal

When I open a terminal in 11X I get this:

Checking for newer versions...
Error opening terminal: xterm.
Checking for newer versions...
Error opening terminal: xterm.
bash-2.05a$

I am pretty sure it is from distributed folding because it goes through the first line when launched in terminal.app.

How do I make it stop doing that? It also happens in OroborOSX.

thanks.

Fixed it. I had the distributed folding script name in the .bashrc file. I probably put it there to see if it would run in Xwindows and forgot I put it there.

Quite funny, a similar thing happened to me a couple of times recently. I've always been using tcsh in MacOSX, but when I started the terminal it _randomly_ gave me a bash: 'bash-2.05a$'

That seems to be quite a curiosity. It appeared after I upgraded to 10.2.6, a few times and then never again.

Anyhow it didn't bother, so I never urged to chase the dog ;)

I just went ahead and changed over to bash in netinfo. I used bash in Linux and have grown accustomed to it.

I am still a newbie AFAIAC, so occasional brain farts like the above will happen.
