Old MacBook Pro Accelerated

I thought a few people with old MacBook Pro (2.16) Core Duo 2 might be interested in this... I did not want to replace my computer but got a faster drive and more memory. I replaced the 5400 rpm 120 GB drive with a 300+ 7200 rpm drive. And I replaced my 1.5 GB of RAM with two matched 2 GB modules (so 4 GB BUT only 3.3 GB accessible). My xBench scores went from 83-95 to 123. I am curious whether other MBP owners experienced a perceptible speed bump by maxing their memory and drive.

Can hardly believe "old" and "Macbook Pro" were in the same heading. Seems like just yesterday I bought the first gen of the Macbook Pro. It's still running like a champ, but I agree moving up to a 7200rpm hard drive helps a lot.
