Open With menu (control+click)

You know the Open With option you get when you control click something? Several option will appear depending on what you have installed.

Is there any way to change what will appear as options?

You do this with Contextual Menu plugins;

PDFViewCM.plugin, FolderActions.plugin, etc.

Would I be right to assume that deleting any one of those .plugin files would remove the control-click option entirely? I just wanted to set it up so different file types could have different Open With options.

Anyone know how to do this?

Rather than deleting, just drag to the desktop and log out and back in to see if it's removed.

I think the user wants to remove QuickTime Player from the 'open with' submenu in the contextual menu in the Finder, for example. I personally hate it that _every_ QT compatible app shows up in that menu if I choose, say, a JPEG. I'd want to select which apps should even show up in that menu. However, Mac OS X doesn't offer this. Those plugins you've mentioned are for other contextual menu items than 'open with'.

Yeah thats what I'm talking about. The ones that annoy me are all the photoshop options. There are SOOO many!

My contextual menus Open With command is going nuts. Showing duplicates of options, has anyone else seen this in 10.3.7?
